RFcamp launched Titan 4KB 5M, FRAM-based UHF RFID tag for asset tracking in nuclear power plants

The Titan 4KB 5M leverages the Fujitsu MB97R803A chip that is compliant with the EPC Class 1 Gen 2 RFID standard and offers 4 kB of Ferroelectric RAM (FRAM), which provides fast write operations (150 ns access time), random R/W access and excellent robustness against gamma ray radiations up to 45 kGy. Thanks to the FRAM technology, this RFID tag is a reliable solution for tracking nuclear waste containers and equipment in nuclear power plants, returnable transport items and other assets that must survive gamma sterilization in the healthcare, food and aerospace industries. Like all the other members of the Titan Tag Series, this rugged UHF FRAM RFID tag is tested to survive also strong impacts, high pressure and temperature up to 200°C, long-term immersion in water (IP68), exposure to extremely corrosive chemicals. The Titan 4KB 5M works well on both metallic and non-metallic surfaces providing read range up to 5.5 meters when used in combination with fixed readers with circularly polarized antennas, and up to 2.5 meters when interrogated with handheld devices. The memory of the Fujitsu MB97R803A chip includes 3424 bytes of user memory, 496 bits of EPC memory and a 60-bits unalterable serial number. The Titan 4KB 5M is available in two frequency versions, 865-868 MHz and 902-928 MHz.
