CS8304 Cold Chain Temperature Logging Tag

The CS8304 Cold Chain Temperature Logging Tag is a Battery Assisted Passive (BAP) RFID tag designed to measure and store the temperature values of food and other perishable goods along the whole cold chain. Fully compliant with the ISO 18000-6:2010 / EPC Class 3 Gen 2 standard, the tag can be read by any EPC Class 1 Gen 2 reader providing typical read range of 2 meters. This UHF RFID temperature logger is equipped with 352 bits of EPC memory and a 48-bit unique serialized number for tag identification, and enough memory to save 10K temperature samples. The tag’s features include a built-in LED light useful for visual notifications, configurable sampling intervals and the capability to generate alarms when the battery is low or when the desired temperature limits are overstepped. The tag is compact – it measures 86 mm by 54 mm by 14 mm – and has a robust plastic case that is rated IP67 and engineered to survive rough handling for in cold storage rooms, mobile overseas containers and truck trailers. The CS8304 Cold Chain Temperature Logging Tag shows low orientation sensitivity and provides excellent performance on products and packaging with high water content. The tag can be mounted by means of adhesives, tethering strings and cable ties.
