HID Global launched Logi Tag 121 and Logi Tag 121 OM, the first products leveraging the HID Global patented Vigo™ technology that allows reliable direct bonding of an RFID wire antenna to a micro-sized HF chip without the need for a bulky module housing and without additional soldering material. This results in the capability of producing cost-effective miniaturized HF RFID chip+antenna combinations and therefore tiny on-/off- metal HF RFID tags, without compromising performance and durability.
The Logi Tag 121 products provide excellent durability in a very small, round encasement with 12-mm diameter and thickness of just 2mm. The tags are designed and tested to withstand prolonged immersion in water, challenging thermal cycles, aggressive chemicals typically used in industrial environments, strong vibrations, shocks and other mechanical stresses. Attached with glue and optimized for non-metallic assets, Logi Tag 121 is a well suited for a wide range of assets, tools and boxes, for both inventory and tracking purposes in healthcare and industrial environments. Furthermore, thanks to its small sizes and high robustness, Logi Tag 121 is a great option also for industrial laundry automation and garment management applications. On the other hand, Logi Tag 121 OM is tuned to perform directly attached to metallic surfaces, providing a perfect solution for a variety of industrial and healthcare on-metal applications that require rugged and tiny on-metal HF RFID tags. Both Logi Tag 121 and Logi Tag 121 OM can be delivered with custom printed logo, and feature the Vigo™ 1k chip that is ISO/IEC 15693 and ISO/IEC 18000-3 standard compliant and offers a factory-programmed 64-bit UID and 1024 bits of user memory. The various security features include a privacy mode option that, when enabled, keeps the tag silent until it receives a login command. Click here to download the datasheet of the Vigo™ 1K chip.
