The new Xerafy product, called Xylinder, has a small round form factor with diameter of 32 mm, and thickness of just 6.5 mm. The rugged construction survives prolonged immersion in water (IP68), mechanical stresses and harsh conditions such as temperature up to 150°C, pressure up to 80 psi (551 kPa) and strong presence of liquids and dusts. Despite its small form factor and rugged encasement, the Xylinder provides excellent on-metal performance with read range up to 6 m. Compliant with the EPC Gen 2 standard, this RFID tag is available in two regional versions (EU and US) and is ATEX certified for secure use in hazardous environments.
