Xerafy Dot XXS - Autoclavable version USThe Xerafy Dot XXS Autoclavable version is a miniature UHF RFID tag specifically designed to allow RFID tagging of surgical instruments and other metallic assets that must undergo autoclave or chemical sterilization.
The tag has a diameter of 4.08mm, a thickness of 2.58mm and a weight of just 0.16 g. Such small form factor and light weight allow the Dot XXS Autoclavable version to be mounted on surgical instruments without making them uncomfortable to use. The 0.5 m read range is impressive for such small tag.
The product is tested to survive chemical sterilization conducted with a variety of agents, hot steam and autoclave sterilization, disinfection with hot water, disinfection with UV light, ultrasonic cleaning and enzyme washing. The Dot XXS Autoclavable version complies with the most stringent US Food and Drug Administration requirements for medical devices (FDA Class 1).
The Dot XXS Autoclavable version can be attached with glue or integrated at the manufacturing stage.
The tag is available with or without external layer of coating to offer the best solution in terms of realiability and safety.
