Xtreme RFID unveiled Xtreme Tag Duo, an RFID tag solution that consists of couples of rugged RFID tags pre-encoded with the same EPC number conceived to ease the development of applications where assets must be tagged on two sides or where there is the need to improve the overall read performance of the system.

Ideal solution for returnable container tracking and other industrial heavy-duty uses, Xtreme Tag Duo is optimized to provide high performance on plastic, wood and other non-metallic assets with read range up to 5 meters. These coupled RFID tags can be mounted in multiple ways such as by means of screws or rivets, attached with adhesive, hung via cable tie or snapped into a recess like those present in many returnable containers. Xtreme Tag Duo is rated IP68 and provides resistance to strong impacts, temperature up to 70°C, prolonged exposure to UV rays, other outdoor agents and many aggressive chemicals that are typical of industrial environments. Each couple of tags can be customized with various barcode formats, human readable data and several branding options. XtremeTag Duo features Impinj Monza 4D chip.
