Passive EPC Gen 2 RFID module for voltage-based sensors

V-Meter

Embedding a low voltage DC metering circuitry to measure the voltage applied to its input channel, the V-Meter is capable of transmitting the read voltage values along with the unique 96-bit tag ID when interrogated with any standard EPC Class 1 Gen 2 compliant reader. This passive UHF RFID module represents a convenient starting point for companies that want to develop their own EPC Class 1 Gen 2 passive sensors, since they do not need to spend efforts and resources in the design of the RF part of the product, but just select the preferred voltage-based sensors, such as load cells or strain gages, and integrate them with the V-Meter. V-Meter can measure voltage values ranging from 0 to 1.5 volts, with accuracy of ±1%. The standard product models come in non-protected PCB formats for being encapsulated in custom encasements to meet any requirement in terms of durability and mounting methods. The V-Meter is available with one or four input channels. Customers can choose among different integrated antenna designs with different radiation directivity or product versions with SMA connector to be used with external antennas.
