Many times, especially during a harvest, having delivery truck available for operations is the difference between profit and loss.
Intelleflex has created an RFID solution to improve harvest efficiency leveraging its XC3 long read range RFID technology combined with GPS, GPRS and WiFi.
Readers have been placed on the harvesters and tags on the delivery trucks. The readers pull information from the harvester (e.g. location, product, quality, etc.) and write that to the tag. The truck then leaves, goes to the scales and updates the database. Further, as all trucks are tagged, the harvester can easily know when the next truck will be there.
In addition, when the system is implemented with personnel badge RFID tags, also driver’s movements can be tracked and accurate associations for both driver and equipment is possible.
