Fully compliant with the ISO 18000-6:2010 / EPC Class 3 Gen 2 standard, the CSL temperature sensing BAP RFID tags can be read by any EPC Class 1 Gen 2 reader by using software provided by Convergence Systems Limited, with read distance over 5 meters in real-world applications, even if placed on products and packaging with high water content and when used at low temperature. The devices offer 352 bits of EPC memory, 3072 bits of user memory and a broad variety of features such as user-configurable sampling intervals and alarm generation capabilities for low battery and low/high temperature.

The CS8301 Rugged Temperature Sensor Tag performs with very low orientation sensitivity and features LED lights for visual notifications.
